Our daycare in Gland accommodates babies and toddlers up to the age of four, as well as school children up to the end of their second primary school year (ca. 6 years). Our Little Green House in Gland is located in a spacious (700m2) south facing facility with direct access to a terrace and a vegetable and herb garden.
Here we create a loving atmosphere in which even the smallest ones feel appreciated, secure and noticed. We want to give children a safe and happy environment where they can grow in confidence and independence. Through play and our indoors and outdoors activities, we help them to be healthy, stay safe, and discover the world while enjoying themselves. At Little Green House learning is a continuous process of making sense through direct experience.
All of our rooms are friendly, bright and inspiring, furnished with natural materials and flexible in usage. Important for our daily outside activities, the facility is located a short walk from paths in the forest and river (10 minutes), and Lake Geneva (30 minutes). We also regularly visit the communal playgrounds and the neighbouring farm. On our 180 m2 terrace, we have created a herb garden in which we plant seeds, cultivate and harvest.
Our meals in Gland are “fourchette verte” labelled for balanced nutrition on a daily basis.
The childcare centre is conveniently located close to the Gland train station, international organisations like WWF, IUCN and Swissquote.
To offer an optimal environment and space for living and learning according to their interests and affinity of the children, we structure our groups by age and stage.
3 months to ca. 1.5 years
ca. 1.5 years to ca. 2.5 years
ca. 2.5 years to ca. 4 years
For older children (ca. 4 to ca. 6 years) our Little Green House Gland offers a primary school covering the first two years of the cantonal school system.

About me: I’ve started my professional career in France in private childcare institutions and associations. I’ve primarily worked with children from different socio-cultural backgrounds, including children from expatriate families. I find this cultural and linguistic diversity truly enriching, and it is something I have found again at Little Green House.
For me, it is important to accompany the children at Little Green House every day at their own rhythm and thereby taking into account their specific individual needs.
Learning with and through nature offers every child the possibility to experience the variety of our environment through direct contact and play, while providing (almost) unlimited space and freedom to move. I have spent the first eight years of my life on the Cape Verde Islands in an environment that was very open to nature. The memory of these times is dear to my heart.
My goal for Little Green House Gland is to enable each child to develop at its own pace and in its own way in a safe and stimulating environment, which values kindness and respects our families’ values.
